Accessibility Statement

How Elara, women’s wellness, works to keep this site usable for everyone, what is in place today, where we still fall short, and how to reach a person if something blocks you.

Last updated: August 30, 2026

Elara, women’s wellness, is built to be used by everyone, including women who browse with a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, rely on captions, or need larger text and stronger contrast. Health care is not optional, and neither is being able to reach it.

The standard we build to

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We describe this as our target rather than as certified conformance: this site has not yet been audited by an independent accessibility specialist, and we would rather tell you where we actually stand than claim a result nobody has verified.

What is in place today

  • Every page can be operated by keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline on links, buttons, menus and form fields.
  • An accessibility menu on every page lets you increase text size, raise contrast, and reduce motion without changing your browser settings.
  • Motion respects your system setting: if your device asks for reduced motion, the animated sections do not animate.
  • Images carry text alternatives, and images that are decorative are hidden from screen readers rather than announced as noise.
  • Headings run in order so a screen reader can skim a page by structure, and each page has exactly one main heading.
  • Colour is never the only way information is given, and body text is set for a contrast ratio of at least 4.5 to 1.
  • Videos play only when you ask them to, and carry no automatic sound.

Where we know we fall short

Being honest about the gaps is part of the point of this page. As of the date above:

  • Member videos do not yet have captions or transcripts. This is our highest priority accessibility fix.
  • Some third-party content we embed, including social video and the patient portal, is built by other companies and is not fully under our control. We raise problems with those providers when we find them.
  • The site has not had a formal audit or assistive-technology user testing. We intend to commission one.

Care is available another way

If any part of this site stops you getting care, you do not have to solve it yourself. Our team can take you through a consultation, answer questions about treatments, and help with an order directly, by phone or email, and there is no charge for that help.

Tell us about a problem

If you meet a barrier here, please tell us what happened and where. We treat accessibility reports as bugs, not feedback, and we will tell you what we are doing about it.

It helps if you can tell us the page you were on, what you were trying to do, and what you were using, for example a screen reader and its version, or a phone and its browser. We aim to respond within five business days.

Formal complaints

If our response does not resolve the problem, you may contact us again asking for it to be escalated. You also retain any rights you have under the Americans with Disabilities Act and applicable state law.
