What Can I Expect?

What are the side effects?
The most common are at the scalp: dryness, flaking, itching, redness or irritation. Minoxidil can cause unwanted hair growth where the serum runs or transfers, so apply it only to the scalp and wash your hands afterwards. Less commonly, people report headache or dizziness. Message your care team about anything persistent, and stop and contact them for chest pain, a racing heartbeat, sudden weight gain, or swelling of the hands and feet.
Who should not use Hair Growth Serum?
This serum contains finasteride and retinoic acid. It is not used in pregnancy or while breastfeeding, and women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should not handle it. It is also avoided with a known allergy to any ingredient, and with a scalp that is broken, inflamed, or sunburned. Tell your provider about your full health history and everything else you use on your scalp before anything is prescribed.

No. Hair Growth Serum through Elara is a compounded product. Compounded medications are personalized to your prescription and dispensed by licensed US pharmacies after a telehealth consultation with a licensed provider. They are not FDA approved and have not been evaluated by the FDA for safety, efficacy, or quality.
