Conditions we help with
Care mapped to the conditions that shape women's health.
Hair Thinning in Women
Hair thinning affects up to half of women by midlife, most often as a gradual widening of the part rather than the receding pattern men get. Hormone shifts, postpartum changes, stress, and genetics all contribute, and early treatment protects far more hair than late treatment recovers.
Insulin Resistance
Insulin resistance means your cells respond sluggishly to insulin, so your body produces more of it, and high insulin makes storing fat easy and burning it hard. It is extremely common in women, especially with PCOS, after menopause, or with abdominal weight gain, and it often exists years before blood sugar ever looks abnormal.
Low Libido
Low libido is one of the most common and least discussed concerns women bring to a provider, and it becomes more common through perimenopause and menopause as estrogen and testosterone decline. It is a real, treatable medical concern, not something to be embarrassed about.
Menopause
Menopause is confirmed after 12 months without a period, on average around age 51. With estrogen low and steady, many women notice a slower metabolism, belly-first weight gain, hot flashes, and changes in skin, hair, and desire.
PCOS
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) affects roughly 1 in 10 women and is one of the most common hormonal causes of stubborn weight gain. Insulin resistance sits at the center of PCOS for most women, which is why weight can climb even on a careful diet.
Perimenopause
Perimenopause is the transition phase before menopause, usually starting in the late 30s or 40s, when estrogen and progesterone begin to fluctuate. Weight gain around the middle, disrupted sleep, and mood shifts are among the most common symptoms women report.
